LVP and flooring installation in Citrus Springs and Citrus County.
iFIXED Remodeling and Flooring installs LVP (luxury vinyl plank), laminate, and tile floors across Citrus County. We plan what's underneath, the transitions, the doors, and the baseboards along with the floor you see, because that's where most flooring jobs go right or wrong.

The installation starts below the flooring.
Existing damage, flatness, moisture conditions, floor height, and room use can change what is needed before installation. The product's instructions and the conditions in your home guide the preparation, and we define that work with the installation so it's clear what the estimate includes.
Many Central Florida homes sit on concrete slabs. A slab can look dry and still carry moisture up into a floor, and it can have dips, humps, or old adhesive that telegraph through a thin plank. Those are the problems that show up months later as gaps, clicking, cupping, or a floor that feels soft underfoot. Finding them before the new floor goes down is cheaper than fixing them after.
LVP, laminate, and tile
Each material asks different things of the floor underneath. Choosing the product and planning the prep should happen together.
Luxury vinyl plank (LVP)
LVP is one of the most requested floors in Citrus County homes. It handles everyday moisture better than laminate and is comfortable underfoot, which matters in kitchens, baths, and laundry rooms. It is also unforgiving of an uneven slab: a rigid plank floating over a dip can flex at the joints. The product's instructions set the flatness, underlayment, and expansion-gap requirements, and we follow them.
Laminate
Laminate gives a convincing wood look at a lower cost and stands up well to scratches. Its core is more sensitive to standing water, so it is usually a better fit for living rooms and bedrooms than for wet areas. Like LVP, it floats, so flatness, underlayment, and expansion space around the edges decide how it performs.
Tile
Tile is permanent and handles water, but it is the least forgiving of movement or a poor bond. Layout, substrate preparation, and how the tile meets doors and other floors all need to be planned before the first piece is set.
Florida slabs and moisture
Many flooring products require the slab to be checked for moisture before installation, and some require a vapor barrier or a specific underlayment on concrete. We go by the manufacturer's instructions for the product you choose, and we tell you before the estimate is final if the slab needs leveling, patching, or adhesive removal first. Skipping that step is a common reason a new floor fails early.
Transitions, doors, and baseboards
A floor can be installed perfectly and still look unfinished if the edges are wrong. Before we price a job we walk through:
- Every doorway and where the new floor meets carpet, tile, or another room.
- Door clearance, since a thicker floor can stop a door from swinging.
- Stairs and step-downs, which need their own edge treatment.
- Whether existing baseboards come off and go back, or new trim goes in.
Removal and disposal
Old carpet, tack strip, and pad come up quickly. Glued-down vinyl and old tile take longer and create more dust, and what's under them decides how much prep follows. The written scope should say who removes the old floor, how debris leaves the house, and how furniture and occupied rooms are handled.
What affects the cost
We don't quote flooring by a square-foot number alone, because the floor you see is only part of the job. The things that change the price are:
- Total area and how many rooms, closets, and doorways are involved.
- Removal of the existing floor and what is underneath it.
- Slab or subfloor preparation: leveling, patching, moisture control.
- The product chosen, and whether you are supplying it.
- Transitions, stairs, baseboards, and door adjustments.
- Furniture moving and keeping parts of the home usable during the work.
Good question to ask any flooring installer: “What needs to happen before the new floor goes down?” A clear answer is worth more than a low square-foot price that ignores the slab.
What to send for an estimate
- Room measurements and wide photos showing how the rooms connect.
- Close-ups of damage, humps, gaps, transitions, and areas where the floor moves.
- The exact flooring product, quantity, and installation instructions if already purchased.
- Who will move furniture, remove the old floor, handle baseboards, and dispose of debris.
Flooring installation & repair: common questions
Do you install LVP and laminate in Citrus County?
Yes. iFIXED installs and repairs LVP, laminate, and tile floors in Citrus Springs and across Citrus County, including the preparation, transitions, and baseboards around them.
Can you install flooring on a concrete slab?
Yes, most Central Florida homes are on slabs. The slab may need to be checked for moisture and flatness and prepared according to the product's instructions before the new floor goes down. We identify that work in the estimate.
What affects the cost of flooring installation?
Area, removal of the old floor, slab preparation, the product, transitions, baseboards, stairs, and furniture handling. We name each of those in the written scope rather than quoting a square-foot number alone.
Can I supply my own flooring?
Yes, when it suits the project. Share the product name, quantity, delivery status, and installation instructions. We can then separate installation labor from preparation, trim, and other materials.
Can you install over the existing floor?
Sometimes. It depends on the new product, the existing floor, and conditions underneath it. We need to check compatibility, condition, moisture, flatness, clearances, and the manufacturer’s instructions before deciding.
Can a damaged section be repaired instead of replacing the room?
Sometimes. Matching material, how the floor was installed, and the cause and extent of damage determine the options. Send a wide view and a close-up, and tell us whether spare flooring is available.
Are baseboards and transitions included?
Only when the written scope lists them, so we always spell them out. Tell us whether you want existing baseboards removed and reinstalled, new trim, or another finish detail so the estimate accounts for it.
